Billionaire investor John Paulson and his fiancée, Alina de Almeida, have welcomed a baby girl.
Alina gave birth to a healthy daughter, Jacqueline, on February 12. The couple chose the name to honor Paulson’s mother. “They are overjoyed with her arrival,” a source shared.
De Almeida, a registered dietitian, had a smooth delivery and is recovering well. She and Paulson, who got engaged in April 2023 after dating for over two years, had been eager to start a family.
“This was something we planned,” De Almeida previously said. “We’ve been together for three years, and I’ve always wanted a family. I know John will be a wonderful father.”
She has also praised Paulson as a supportive and caring partner who has encouraged her career growth.
Paulson, known for making billions by betting against the housing market before the 2008 crash, is still finalizing his divorce from ex-wife Jenny, with whom he shares two children.
Despite the ongoing legal process, he has expressed his happiness with De Almeida and hopes his ex-wife finds happiness as well.
