Betty Burns and other volunteers from Heart of LCAC received a notification about a dog with matted fur wandering around a location in Clinton, South Carolina. They immediately headed out to rescue the dog.
Upon arriving at the site, they were taken aback as they only managed to identify the 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix by the sound of its breathing.
They removed over 15 pounds of matted fur to liberate him! The most amazing part was that Pat, the canine, was delighted to be recognized as a dog once again. He even began to frolic and run around. His only desire is to find a permanent residence to bring his happy ending to fruition. Please view the attached video.
