Coldplay ‘Kiss Cam’ Woman Speaks Out, Levels Major Claim Against Former Boss

Kristin Cabot Addresses the Aftermath of the Viral Coldplay Concert Incident

Kristin Cabot is opening up about her former employer several months after a viral moment at a Coldplay concert sparked a global wave of controversy. Her recent statements regarding her ex-boss are far from complimentary, adding a new layer to an already complex story.

A Moment with Lasting Consequences

The incident, which became one of the most talked-about events of July 2025, occurred during a Coldplay performance in Boston. The world watched what many described as a highly uncomfortable scene when the “kiss cam” focused on Kristin Cabot—a mother of two—and the then-CEO of tech firm Astronomer, Andy Byron.

The pair were seen embracing before quickly trying to hide from the camera’s view. From the stage, frontman Chris Martin made a lighthearted remark suggesting the two might be involved in an “affair.” That comment, captured and shared across social media, intensified the public’s fascination and led to severe repercussions.

At the time, Cabot served as the head of human relations at Astronomer, reporting directly to Byron. In the wake of the public outcry, both individuals resigned from their respective roles at the company. Although both were married at the time of the concert, Cabot has clarified that she was already undergoing a divorce from her estranged husband and believed Byron was in a similar situation.

The Breakdown of Integrity

In a revealing interview on The Oprah Podcast released on March 17, Cabot provided a significant update on her status with Byron. She confirmed that she completely “ended communication” with him last autumn, effectively severing the tie that first brought them into the spotlight.

“There was a profound absence of honesty and integrity,” Cabot told Oprah Winfrey. She explained that Byron was not the person he had led her to believe he was, noting that “dishonesty is a deal-breaker” for her.

When Winfrey pushed for more details—specifically whether Byron had been truthful about his own marital separation—Cabot remained guarded. She expressed a desire to be cautious, noting that she did not want to expose someone else’s private family matters to the same public scrutiny she had endured. “A great deal of what was shared with me turned out to be inaccurate,” she remarked.

Reflection and Responsibility

Following the concert, the two initially maintained contact throughout the summer, often discussing “crisis management” as they navigated the fallout. However, their final meeting took place in September, where they agreed that continuing to speak would only hinder the healing process for everyone involved.

Looking back on the ordeal, Cabot highlighted the double standards in how she and Byron were treated by the public. She noted that every detail of her physical appearance was picked apart by online critics. While she admitted several times that the situation was a “mistake,” she argued that the global backlash felt disproportionately harsh.

“I accept full responsibility for the poor decision I made in that moment,” Cabot stated, “and I have paid an unimaginable price for it.”
