Yet, he has become a fearless advocate for diversity and inclusion in the entertainment industry, using his platform to raise awareness about the importance of representation for individuals with facial differences.
Adam’s journey began at a young age, when he was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type I. The condition affected his face, significantly altering his appearance, and led to frequent teasing and humiliation at school.
However, Adam refused to let his condition define him. After graduating from Brighton University, he worked in TV production for the BBC and Channel 4, before landing a role in the film Under the Skin alongside Scarlett Johansson.
This pivotal moment marked the beginning of Adam’s acting career, which he saw as an opportunity to share his story and demonstrate that anyone can achieve their dreams regardless of their appearance.
He went on to present several BBC documentaries about himself and his condition, including an episode of Horizon titled “My Amazing Twin,” which featured Adam and his identical twin, Neil.
Today, Adam is a respected advocate for people with disabilities, known for his bravery and dedication.
