Jesse Ventura Sparks Backlash With Sharp Remark About Barron Trump Amid Draft Debate

Jesse Ventura Enters “War Mode”: Questions Trump Assassination Attempt and Challenges Barron to Enlist

The relationship between WWE legend Jesse Ventura and the Trump family has reached a boiling point. Following a high-profile appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the former Minnesota Governor has sparked intense debate by questioning the 2024 assassination attempt on Donald Trump and taking aim at the President’s youngest son, Barron.

Skepticism Over the 2024 Incident

During his interview with Piers Morgan—which has likely triggered a massive surge in viewership over the last 24 hours—Ventura revisited the events of the 2024 assassination attempt with deep skepticism.

The wrestling icon suggested that the incident might have been orchestrated, even using the wrestling term “blade job”—a technique where a performer inflicts a minor, self-contained cut to simulate a more serious injury. When pressed by Morgan, Ventura pointed to the lack of a visible scar on the President’s ear from the alleged gunshot wound as a primary reason for his doubts.

A Challenge for Barron Trump

Beyond questioning the validity of the assassination attempt, Ventura shifted his focus to the next generation of the Trump family. He publicly called for Barron Trump, now 20 years old, to join the United States military.

This challenge was issued against a tense geopolitical backdrop, specifically the escalating hostilities between the U.S. and Iran—a conflict that has already resulted in the deaths of at least 13 American service members. Ventura, a veteran of the Vietnam War, used this context to contrast Barron’s situation with his father’s past.

“Draft-Dodging Coward”

Ventura did not hold back in his criticism of Donald Trump, labeling him a “draft-dodging coward.” He argued that Barron should take the opportunity to serve, something he claims the President lacked the courage to do.

“Well, Barron, you can change that,” Ventura stated during the interview. “Enlist in the United States military right now, do something your father didn’t have the courage to do.”

He noted that throughout decades in the public eye, none of Trump’s children have served in the armed forces. He further highlighted the family’s history, pointing out that Donald Trump avoided the Vietnam-era draft due to bone spurs, and that neither his father nor grandfather had served in the military.

Overcoming Physical Constraints

Addressing the argument that Barron’s exceptional height might disqualify him from service, Ventura drew a comparison to NBA legend David Robinson.

“Tall? David Robinson did it,” Ventura remarked, citing the “Admiral” as a prime example of a professional athlete who successfully served in the Navy despite his stature.

A Record of Service

Jesse Ventura’s critiques are backed by his own extensive military background. He served in the U.S. Navy from December 1, 1969, to September 10, 1975. During his tenure, he was stationed in the Mekong Delta, served with an amphibious ready group in the South China Sea, and operated out of Subic Bay in the Philippines.

For his service during the Vietnam era, Ventura was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Navy Expeditionary Medal.
