Missing Businessman Found Dead Inside Giant Crocodile as Shocking Details Emerge

Gabriel Batista, a 59-year-old businessman, vanished last week while attempting to navigate across the Komati River located in northeastern South Africa. Officials have recently released a chilling update, disclosing that his remains were purportedly found within the stomach of a massive crocodile.

The entrepreneur was actively trying to cross the Komati River when tragedy unfolded. Authorities verified that his car became trapped on a low-lying bridge. When law enforcement reached the scene, the vehicle was completely deserted, according to details provided by Mpumalanga provincial police spokesperson Colonel Mavela Masondo to the SABC.

A massive search effort was launched, and four days later, teams located a 14-foot-9-inch, 1,100-pound Nile crocodile sporting a conspicuously bloated stomach. The massive predator was neutralized via gunfire from a helicopter and was later airlifted out of the water.

A subsequent post-mortem analysis confirmed that the animal harbored human remains inside its digestive tract. Insiders referenced by The Telegraph detailed that recovery teams found two arms, parts of a rib cage, and pieces of flesh that are suspected to be Batista’s.

“Gabriel was a wonderful person and a family man.”

Capt. Johan “Pottie” Potgieter, the leader of the police diving team, stated: “I don’t want to go into too much detail, but there was enough in the stomach to make us believe the crocodile consumed the missing man. However, we will need to wait for the DNA results to confirm this,” as reported by VT.

He also pointed out: “Despite having a very full stomach, the crocodile didn’t move or attempt to escape into the river, even with the noise from the drones and the helicopter.”

At this stage, it is still unclear if Batista drowned prior to being consumed by the reptile, or if he lost his life as a direct result of an animal attack.

Batista operated the nearby Border Country Inn along with its sports bar. Individuals close to him remembered him fondly as an adored family man.

“Gabriel was a wonderful person and a devoted family man… he dedicated a lot of time here, and customers adored him,” a representative noted, according to VT.

“He resided in Johannesburg but owned this guest house and bar, spending much of his time here. He was on his way to work on Monday when he was tragically swept away.

“The family prefers not to make any statements until the DNA results are available. It’s just heartbreaking, and his wife has been present every day with the police diving team.

“It’s a nightmare, but currently, there are no comments from the family.”
