People are losing it over Donald Trump’s reaction to Melania’s speech
On Thursday, President Donald Trump was accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump as he signed an Executive Order aimed at modernizing America’s foster care system. Before her husband signed the bill, Melania delivered a speech, and when she was met with applause, Trump joined in, prompting social media users to notice something unique about the way the president clapped.
The executive order signed by Donald Trump on Thursday is intended to enhance opportunities and provide better support for the approximately 400,000 children in the US foster care system.
In addition, Melania Trump also put her signature on the order as she introduced the “Fostering the Future” initiative. This initiative is part of her “Be Best” campaign, which was launched during their first term in the White House and aimed to provide scholarships to current and former foster youth across the nation.
The president expressed his happiness in signing the initiative, mentioning that the second lady, Usha Vance, played a significant role in Melania’s efforts.
“We’re going to achieve absolutely incredible results,” the president stated.
“I urge leaders from various organizations, including those in the private sector, to support my initiative,” Melania said from the East Room, addressing an audience that included lawmakers, cabinet members, and representatives from the foster-care community.
Donald Trump was accused of dozing off during Melania Trump’s speech.
The first lady remarked: “Rise above the ease of inaction.”
Melania Trump stated, “This executive order fills me with immense pride. It is both compassionate and strategic.” She continued, “I foresee this small spark today will ignite a significant and enduring movement across the nation.”
Donald Trump commented, “The Bible teaches us that one of the indicators of any society is how it looks after its vulnerable children and orphans. This is crucial and is a major theme in the Bible.”
Melania Trump delivered a speech related to the signing of the executive order. However, the buzz afterward centered not on her words, but on Donald Trump’s demeanor. The president appeared to be struggling to keep his eyes open.
“Even while standing, Trump seems to be having difficulty keeping his eyes open as Melania speaks,” one observer noted, according to Express.
Another remarked: “It looks like after ‘sleepy Joe’, we now have a new version in ‘sleepy Donald’.”
Trump’s “one-armed clapping”
However, the suggestion that Trump could have been fatigued isn’t the sole assertion. When Melania Trump was met with applause for her speech, her husband participated, clapping his hands while beaming at his wife.

However, the manner in which he was clapping caused quite a stir among social media users.
“Check out Trump’s one-armed clapping. Who needs to drink water properly when this guy can’t do ANYTHING right?” one user commented, along with a video of Trump clapping.
Another user remarked, “Is that a prosthetic left hand???? OMG”
A third user inquired, “Is it a fake arm?”
On the other hand, some users defended Trump, arguing that his clapping style was not unusual.
“It looks really odd, but I just clapped to see how I do it… I do it the same way. haha,” one user shared.
“I’ve been clapping like this for 50 years, should I be worried?” another user added.
Donald Trump expressed that he feels “truly blessed” to have Melania as First Lady.
After receiving applause, Trump kissed Melania and said, “Thank you, Melania, and our country is truly blessed to have this wonderful and caring First Lady.”
He continued, “They adore her. Every time I stand up to speak, they shout ‘we want our First Lady’. I respond, ‘what the heck, am I not good enough?’”
