Quiet, Piggy’: Trump Sparks Outrage After Viral Clash With Bloomberg Reporter on Air Force One

Donald Trump’s long-standing confrontational dynamic with the press returned to the spotlight this week, after his treatment of journalists triggered sharp criticism.

“Quiet! Quiet, piggy!”

Just days before he reversed his position on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files, President Trump had a heated exchange with a female Bloomberg reporter—an encounter many critics consider one of his most extreme attacks on the media in recent months.

According to the BBC, the confrontation occurred aboard Air Force One on November 14, while Trump was being questioned about newly revealed emails connected to Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in federal custody in 2019.

Trump dismissed the reporter’s question, claiming he had no knowledge of the emails and insisting that attention should instead be focused on other individuals named in the correspondence, including former President Bill Clinton.

When Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey tried to ask a follow-up question, Trump abruptly cut her off, saying:

“Quiet! Quiet, piggy.”

The remark instantly sparked widespread reaction, drawing renewed attention to the president’s ongoing hostility toward the media and reigniting debates over professionalism, accountability, and the treatment of journalists covering powerful public figures.

The brief exchange was recorded on camera and quickly went viral, prompting significant backlash online. The footage shows Trump leaning forward, pointing his finger, and delivering the comment in a sharp, unexpected tone as he interrupted Lucey mid-question.

She had begun asking, “If there’s nothing incriminating in the files, sir, why not…” when Trump stopped her with the now-widely circulated remark.
