Sebastian Stan, 39, was seen in Brooklyn, New York, sporting a dramatically altered look created with heavy makeup and prosthetics for his upcoming movie A Different Man.

In the film, Stan portrays a character named Edward, who has neurofibromatosis and undergoes “major facial reconstruction surgery.” Afterward, Edward becomes increasingly fixated on an actor who portrays him in a stage production inspired by Edward’s life story.

The upcoming movie A Different Man was written and directed by Aaron Schimberg.
Last Thursday, Stan shared a still photo on his Instagram showing a close-up of his prosthetic makeup for A Different Man, highlighting the work of Mike Marino.
