THIS is the moment 20 rescuers haul a 320kg man into a lorry — after he could no longer move having gorged on noodles every day for 10 years.
According to The Sun, Sia Chie Herng, 33, stuffed himself with 30 bowls of spicy snacks a day while shuffling round his tiny family home in Sibu, Malaysia.
He also washed the dishes down with dozens of milkshakes and plates of ice-cream.
But Herng became immobile over the weekend and spent four days in bed while complaining of chest pains.
Fireman arrived on Tuesday and needed 20 people to carry him on a huge board of wood into a 5000kg lorry because an ambulance was too small.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Farhan Sufyan Borhan said: ”We arrived there an hour after the emergency call and the man was lying down in the living room and unable to move.
”The ambulance was too small and he wouldn’t fit inside. We quickly sent our five-tonne lorry to the scene.
The 33-year-old was lifted into a truck to be taken to hospital. Picture: Snapper.
“It took us more than 30 minutes to carry him from the house to the lorry, using a thick cloth and hardwood as support.
”We don’t get many cases where this happens. We just did the best we could but it wasn’t easy lifting such a heavy man.”
The lorry reached the hospital on Tuesday at around 1pm.
Herng, who has two older brothers, was treated for swelling in his legs and is currently recovering while doctors assess him.
His mother said: “Though he is heavy, previously he could move around slowly with the help of a walking frame.
“But his health deteriorated during the last three to four days and he needed to be confined to the bed.”
Friend Afiq Mayang added: “Sia is a nice man. He loves watching sport on TV and movies.
“But he has a weakness for food. Some days he would eat 20 or 30 bowls of noodles mixed with meat. Then he eats ice-cream and (drinks) milkshakes.
“Everybody is hoping he gets better quickly.”
