Jayne Trcka, remembered for her standout role as Miss Mann in Scary Movie (2000), reportedly passed away early last month at the age of 62 in her home in San Diego, California. Beyond acting, she was also well known in the bodybuilding world.

A spokesperson for the San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office told the media, “There was trauma to the body, but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time.”

Reports say Trcka was found in her kitchen by a friend who went to check on her after she did not return calls.

Her son was reportedly unaware of any health issues or medical conditions that might have played a role in her sudden death. The news has stunned many and left widespread grief in its wake.

Outside of Scary Movie, Trcka built a strong reputation in bodybuilding. In the 1980s, she competed professionally and was featured in multiple fitness publications, including Flex, MuscleMag International, and Women’s Physique World.

After making her acting debut, she went on to appear in other projects, including roles on The Drew Carey Show and Whose Line Is It Anyway?

In more recent years, she also worked in real estate with a San Diego-based agency. Scary Movie marked her first major step into acting, and she later returned to the franchise in subsequent films, becoming a recognizable and well-liked character. The sixth installment of the series is expected to be released later this year.
