We are aware that UPS drivers often greet the dogs on their delivery route with treats and cuddles, and Katie Newhouser was no exception. This woman, who had been working as a UPS driver for 15 years, had become friends with a friendly Pit Bull named Leo.
Katie developed a strong connection with Leo and his mother, Tina Rummel, who unfortunately passed away, leaving her beloved pup behind. Tina’s son, Canon, was away on his marine duty, so Katie took care of Leo as a foster parent.
Leo adjusted very well to Katie’s home and even made friends with her other dogs. Eventually, Katie decided to adopt him as she couldn’t bear the thought of being without him.
